I teach at a local college with interesting young people, and I would like to become a writer, however, I tend to struggle at times to find the right words. I also, like reading, learning about computers ,gardening and watching early morning sun rises , because they are so beautiful....

As I boarded the congested train ,I became aware of the claustrophobic conditions confronting me , as I shuffled to create a suitable cavity in which to exist for the duration of the journey , while we hurtled towards the crowded city. The Cook.

She was a young apprentice cook, washing dishers-

Summer Time.

As the glare off the sand
from the beach,glints silver
on the crumpled foil of the water,
and the hot sand stings like ants....

I follow the small bracken pathway
through the windswept sand dunes
up to your gate, ....and enter?

As your garden radiates long fingers
of shade, that reach out.....and
cover me with coastal coolness....
