She was a young apprentice cook, washing dishers-

when I first met her,slightly brash, and with a happy

face that radiated cockiness , and confidence

exhibiting a persona of undenyable enthusiasm.

Her kitchen magic generated completness within her

cooking demeanour, while still seducing her

patrons with cullinary contentment.....

The raging river flows swaying from left to right

Seasonal reflections run on the wet street -

Sadem Hussain is dead.

Young hotel maid is repositioning the blossom jar.

While the sound of new rain resonates

before it leaves the cloud,...

As the glare off the sand
from the beach,glints silver
on the crumpled foil of the water,
and the hot sand stings like ants....

I follow the small bracken pathway
through the windswept sand dunes
up to your gate, ....and enter?

As your garden radiates long fingers
of shade, that reach out.....and
cover me with coastal coolness....
