You must throw the buttons into the fires of Mordor. Take a hobbit or two. I wanna be the elf guy! Can I be the elf guy?

It's in the west and just to the south. In fact, Southwest advertises that bags fly for free! Of course, they still need to X-ray all the baggage because they want to know what's inside, as if you're trying to hide something. Either that, or they ma…

This made me smile. Very nice bit of humanity, reckless though it may seem. Nice parallels between the two segments.

Never understood that whole leaf-raking thing anyway. They are perfect mulch and fertilizer for the lawn yet people rake them up, pay to have them hauled off and then buy fertilizer for their lawn—gawd, city people

Ahhh, the voice of the armchair quarterback. Leave the leaves long enough, and they become your neighbor's problem. Esp. if your neighbor has the voice of a nagging wife.

Fun read! Well done! Good thing they didn't discuss the possibility of Greek and their poles -- not to mention their placement within the overall, um, demographic.

Halloween Safety Tips for Homeowners

With Halloween fast approaching, countless lists spouting off idiotic safety tips for trick-or-treaters circulate throughout communities across America. As the caring and responsible parent of a child who wants nothing more than to dress up in some faggy costume and collect crappy, chemical-filled treats of sugar-packed doom, you should already know two basic facts: never let your kids out of your sight because some sicko will surely take them, and don't allow them to eat anything they've collec… Continue

The Voice in the Wind

I ventured outside, rake in hand, to greet the sunny, windy afternoon in all its autumn splendor. As the breeze roared through the trees and blew the strewn and scattered fallen leaves about the yard, I found myself discerning a quiet whisper within the wind. I cocked my head and listened more intently, attempting to decipher its message.

I glanced quickly around in order to see whether or not a neighbor, perhaps, might have been the source of such a voice, but I saw no one.

Was this a voice,… Continue

Pumping Gas

I tried to pump some gas last night, but when I grabbed the nozzle and tried shoving it into the hole located at the back of the trunk, I noticed it went in kind of funny. Now, usually, it goes in pretty easy, allowing me to pump away until it's all filled up, and then I pull the nozzle out and put it back.

Last night, however, I noticed that I really had to twist and turn it to get it to go in, applying more force than usual. But after a few gyrations, it was finally all the way in the hole. H… Continue

I Would Like to Pay a Visit to the Half-Planet WHO

While perusing Google news headlines, I happened upon the following:

"Drug firms can make H1N1 vaccine for half planet-WHO"

Sure, I get it! They can make a vaccine for the half-planet WHO, probably located in some other solar system, but they can't manufacture enough of the stuff for the folks here on Earth! Typical drug company logic! Hmmm . . . wonder if Pete Townshend is mayor of that half-planet . . .

The Advertisements to the Right

I always find it interesting and often amusing to see what kind of advertisements show up on the right-hand sidebar of each individual post. For instance, will the presence of the word advertisement yield ads for advertising firms or services?

Right now, I'm in the mood for a taco, so once I post this, will tacos or Mexican restaurants be advertised on the right? Of course, now that I've gone and mentioned Mexican restaurants, have I altered the algorithm that mathematically determines w… Continue
